develop disciples

the heart of the mission

Developing Disciples is at the heart of the mission God gave his church. In his parting message Jesus told his followers, “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Mt 28:19 NIV). God intends for every believer to become fully devoted to Christ (Col 1:28). To do so we must go beyond simply knowing his teachings, we must be “taught to obey all that He commanded” (Mt 28:20). This is not a solitary pursuit. We are taught to live in obedience as we serve and grow in close relationship with other disciples in the local church.

Learning to obey Jesus is not a solitary pursuit. It takes place best in the local church as we serve and grow in close relationship with other disciples.
